ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • A good University degree
  • A good GMAT or GRE score
    GMAT Institution code F8D-7V-27 and GRE Institution code 5757
  • At least 2 years working experience (preferred)
  • This part-time programme is also open to foreign candidates who hold employment or dependent passes

EXEMPTIONS

The School will grant a maximum of 2 course units to students who have successfully completed courses equivalent to the basic modules offered in semester 1.

Student has to submit details of courses taken to the School 5 weeks before Term 1 begins.
Details of courses include:
•  Learning outcome statement, course objectives, course overview and assessment method.
•  The university attended, your grade, the year you took the course.

The student has to take an exam and exemptions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. The tuition fees will be waived for modules exempted.

Exemptions will be considered if you have completed equivalent modules taken in a Master Program with good grades. Passing CFA Level I does not exempt students from any modules. Our modules cover more than CFA Learning Outcome Statement.

PROGRAMME FEES

The current fees (inclusive of GST) for the programme are:

(Non-refundable. Amount payable on acceptance to the program. The registration fee includes matriculation, examination fees, orientation activities, insurance, library & computer account )

Tuition Fees:

S$28,000 payable in three instalments.

First Installment payable 2 weeks before Term 1 begins: S$10,000
Second Installment payable 2 weeks before Term 2 begins: S$9,000
Third Installment payable 2 weeks before Term 3 begins: S$9,000

Late and Partial Payment Penalties

If fees are not paid, or only partially paid, by the payment deadline indicated in the bill from the Office of Finance, a penalty charge of S$100 will be imposed for late payment.

If student does not pay the tuition fees (and any associated penalty charges) in a timely manner or whose fees remain in arrears, the University and/or Programme reserve the rights to take further action as deemed necessary, including terminating the student's candidacy, barring such students from module registrations in a subsequent semester, canceling such students' current module registrations, suspending such students' account, withholding results slips or transcripts, and withholding the confirmation of the award of the degree/certificate.

Refund Policy

A student who leaves/requests to withdraw from the University and/or Programme two (2) weeks or more after the commencement of a Term, is liable for the payment of fees for the entire Term. Request for partial payment will not be considered.

* The Singapore Management University reserves the right to alter tuition and other fees as deemed appropriate.

SPECIAL SMU (MAF) TUITION LOAN SCHEME

Loan scheme has been established to assist deserving candidates, with 50% financing of the tuition fees, at affordable cost and repayment schedules. Students holding a part time job, unemployed for at least 3 months and unable to get a study loan from any commercial banks are eligible to apply .
