About Swiss Finance Institute

The Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) is a non-profit foundation set up in 2005 aimed at providing leading research and executive education in banking and finance. The Swiss Finance Institute incorporates the Swiss Banking School, established in Zurich in 1987 to focus on Executive Education in banking, and FAME, a research and education foundation established in Geneva in 1997 and focus on finance. The SFI is supported by Swiss universities, the banks based in Switzerland and the Swiss government, which are all represented on its Board.

The SFI is active in Research, PhD training and Education Education. In linking renowned academics and senior practitioners, the objective of SFI Executive Education is to help executives understand the latest developments of the discipline and assess their strategic implications for the finance industry. As an example, each year in its exclusive International Private Banking & Wealth Management Retreat it gathers 25 senior executives in private banking from all over the world for a week-long seminar on strategic developments in wealth management.

To remain at the forefront of global developments in banking and finance, the SFI insures a close link between its Executive Education arm and its research activities. The latter combine the research efforts of the leading banking and finance institutes at Swiss universities. The Swiss Finance Institute co-operates with reputed academics and professional from all over the world, and foster a wide network of finance executives through its Alumni Association.
