| Q1: What will be the criteria for admission to the programme?
Applicants will require a good first degree from an institution of higher learning, and two or more years of working experience preferably related to the wealth management industry. Those without adequate working experience, a pass of the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Programme level 1 Examination is required. GMAT is a compulsory requirement for admission to this programme. Shortlisted candidates need to go through panel interview by members of the Admissions Committee.

Q2: How does the selection process work?
We are looking for applicants who have the potential to be successful in the wealth management industry. Your professional experience and past performance will be considered. Participants in general have an average of about four to five years working experience.

Q3: What is GMAT?
GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) measures basic verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing skills that you have developed over a long period of time in your education and work. The score report gives separate scores for the quantitative and verbal sections of the test, as well as a total score. There is also a short analytical writing section. The GMAT is used to ensure fairness, objectivity and validity in selection and provides supplementary information to that contained in the application form.

Q5: Where can I take the GMAT in Singapore?
In Singapore, you may take the computerised GMAT at Pearson Professional Centers which is located at 10 Anson Road, Level 30, Unit 3, International Plaza, Singapore 079903 Tel: 6225 2027.
You may check seat availability for taking the GMAT here; tests are generally available in the morning at 9 am from Monday to Friday and the second Saturday of every month. Test takers are generally required to report half an hour earlier. The GMAT takes less than 4 hours, and can only be taken once every calendar month, for up to 5 times every 12 calendar months.

Q9: What is the minimum GMAT/GRE score?
We have not set a minimum GMAT/GRE score. We adopt a holistic approach to applications for admission to this programme.
Q10: Can I retake GMAT/GRE?
Yes, you can retake GMAT/GRE but retaking the test is only recommended if you believe you have under-performed significantly at the first attempt. However, please be well prepared before you go for your GMAT/GRE test as both can only be taken once a month.
Q11: Can I apply before I have taken GMAT/GRE?
If the rest of your application is completed, you can send it to us, even if you have not taken the GMAT /GRE . You should fax us your unofficial scores as soon as you receive them and arrange with the test centre for the official score report to be sent to SMU. SMU GMAT institution code is F8D-7V-34 and the GRE institution code is 5757.
Q12: Can I be exempted from taking GMAT/GRE?
No, every applicant is required to take GMAT/GRE, regardless of his/her academic background or prior qualifications. The GMAT/GRE is a useful common measure to help us evaluate all candidates in the applicant pool.
Q13: I took GMAT/GRE a long time ago; will you accept my old score report?
GMAT/GRE scores are valid for 5 years after the test date.
Q14: I am a foreigner. Am I eligible to apply?
