OBJECTIVE

To provide advice to the Lee Kong Chian School of Business in Singapore Management University (SMU) regarding its academic programmes of study, and related matters and activities.

The academic programmes in the School include degrees offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The related matters and activities include curriculum development, internships, scholarships, international student exchange programmes, and employment of the School's graduates.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• To advise the School on academic programmes and to suggest changes, where applicable;
• To assist in securing student internships and other forms of industry attachment, both locally and overseas;
• To facilitate the employment of the School's graduates, including offering suitable positions, where appropriate;
• To provide feedback on the School's graduates, including their general attributes, suitability for employment, and work performance compared with graduates of other universities;
• To recommend suitable professionals to be employed as professors, lecturers or adjunct faculty members in the School;
• To help find opportunities for research and other forms of collaborative work between faculty members and the business community; and
• To help facilitate the receipt of gifts and financial support for the School's teaching and research programmes, including prizes, scholarships, bursaries and other awards.
