Career in Lee Kong Chian School of Business

Faculty Appointments

Openings are available in the Lee Kong Chian School of Business.

Appointments to Standing Faculty normally commence at the start of SMU’s academic calendar in July of each year.

Appointments to the Practice and Associated Faculties may provide some mutual flexibility in terms of starting and conclusion dates, but generally appointments will coincide with teaching terms and academic years where possible.

Specific numbers of openings can vary according to the categories of appointment made. The following provides an indication of the priority recruitment areas.

Marketing

Operations Management

Organizational Behavior

Quantitative Finance

FACULTY COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

SMU offers internationally competitive compensation and benefits, which aim to assist appointees from overseas to take up their SMU appointments with ease.

Typically, faculty are offered basic salary for a nine-month academic year. Research active faculty may also qualify for research support.

A range of other benefits are provided, including medical benefits, from which appointment terms and conditions can be customised to the appointee’s situation.
