General Guide for Course Planning

As a general guide to students for planning their courses in fulfilling the Quantitative Finance Major, ACCT101 , ACCT102 , FNCE101 , STAT101/STAT151, and IS200 should be taken first or at the earliest. QF201 , QF202 , QF203 , and QF204 should then be taken next, preferably by the completion of the second or sophomore year. QF302 and QF303 should be taken in semester I of year 3 or possibly year 4 for those doing QF as a second major in other Schools. Note that these two courses are planned for offering only in Semester 1 each academic year starting in 2007/08. QF304 should be taken in semester 2 of year 3 or possibly year 4 for those doing QF as a second major in other Schools. Note that this course is planned for offering only in Semester 2 each academic year starting in 2007/08. QF301 and QF305 may be taken anytime, though preferably after completing QF201 and QF202. QF100 may be taken anytime though it is more useful when taken early.
